Hi
I downloaded few 5.1 channels DTS songs yesterday (wav) format. I burnt an audio CDwith Nero (just a regular audio DVD as I could not find a DTS-CD option anywhere.) The CD works perfectly fine in my Bose Lifestyle 38, however when I tried to run the CD in my PS3 all I hear is static sound. I did a lot of research today (almost 6-8 hours) and found that any DVD player that is trying to play the DTS CD must have DTS support. I am pretty sure the PS3 has DTS support on top of DTS-HD support. My receiver is Pioneer Elite VSX-94-THX that is capable of handling DTS very well. Not sure what I am doing wrong here, but I am really frustrated at this time and not sure what else to do. I would really appreciate if any of the experienced Guru here can help me this. Really appreciate your help. Thanks |

I was finally able to fix the issue. All I had to do was to follow the below 3 steps
1 - Under "Audio Output Settings" select HDMI and then select manual settings. 2 - Deselect LPCM 2ch 88.2 and 176.4, leave only 44.1. 3 - Under "Music Settings" set Audio CD Output Frequency to "44.1/88.2/176.4 kHz Now I can enjoy crisp 5.1 channel sound in my home theater. I have never heard this good audio quality in my life |
