It appears that true to its title, PHOONK has spun black magic at theaters across the country. Otherwise how does one really describe the terrific opening which this film has managed to take all over the country? Yes, the film was promoted quite aggressively and the makers left no stone unturned to ensure that one and all were aware about 22nd August being the D-day for the release of PHOONK. Still, a near 100% opening on Friday has caught the staunchest supporter of Ram Gopal Varma (and PHOONK) by surprise.

Released at limited shows (2-4 at all major multiplexes), the film took a very good opening (over 80%) when the day begun and soon word of mouth ensured that by the time evening and night shows commenced, there were house full signs all over. Made in a budget of just 3 crores, the film is on its way to do a business of at least 10 crores which means that the Superhit tag is not really far away.

A surprise success of the year in spite of no leading stars glaring from the film's posters and promos, PHOONK has manage to erase the disappointment of the box office failure of Ramu's last month release CONTRACT.

cool i am a big RGV fan despite some crap films he has churned out but overall he makes films of all genres ..

p dvd/home wont have that scary feeling.

Go and watch It In theatre..you will feel the difference for sure..Really very scary

It may sucks according to You But word Of Mouth and Box Office collection says Its already a Hit and Moving On towards SuperHit verdict. Verdict always depend On collection .RGV Doesn't Give a damn about any audience or critic who don't Like His Movies.He will keep Making Movies like this and This time He is successful.He has shut down everyones Mouth who used to hate His Movies.Now if even audience wants to flop this Movie They cant coz The Movie Budget Is 3 crore and Its already Moving towards 10 crore.So who Knows It Might surpass the collection Of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na or even better.Lets Hope for The Best
